Thank you! Presenters:Barbara Smith, MS, OTR/L Description:This workshop is designed to help energize your pediatric school-based therapy practice in a cost-effective way. Therapists, educators and parents are frequently challenged to find the right toys and activities that meet the learning needs of pediatric populations including children who are environmentally at-risk and/or have developmental disabilities. Children learn best when activities are FUN and at their developmental level. Participants will learn how to design, adapt and fabricate numerous inexpensive individualized activities that promote cognitive, visual perceptual, language and fine-motor skills. Hands-on demonstration, sample activities, photographs and video will be provided to enhance learning.
