Stokes, MA, CCC-SLP Description:This fast-paced, intensive training will provide a wealth of information and resources, from "low" tech to "high" tech visual strategies, to teach students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Participants will receive dozens of practical, "easy to make" low tech visual strategies that can be used immediately to meet the unique learning and behavioral needs of students with ASD, and most importantly, to increase their independent functioning. High tech strategies include: use of video-modeling, computer-aided instruction, and the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices. Numerous practical evidence-based visual strategies to teach students with ASD are shared through videos, materials, and personal stories.
